Meet Amela
Several years ago, I began making soap for my family and friends. Over time, people outside of my circle of friends began trying my soap and kept coming back for more. Their joy when using my soap led me to set up shop online, and here I am today. My products are never tested on animals and are made of natural ingredients, including locally-sourced honey and beeswax, in addition to herbs grown right here in beautiful, sunny California.
Why Soaps of Babylon?

The earliest recorded evidence of the production of soap-like materials dates back to around 2800 BC in ancient Babylon.
If you ever read the label on a commercially, mass-produced soap or personal care product, you will find that they are full of detergents, synthetic chemicals, preservatives, and dyes. In fact, most “soap” that you buy is not actually soap at all - it’s a synthetic detergent full of bubbly chemicals that look and smell like soap, but in reality are not.

Soaps of Babylon products are 100% HANDMADE from start to finish. They are proudly 100% free from parabens, petro chemicals, SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate) animal testing, and tallow (animal fat). They are also free from harsh detergents, stabilizers and preservatives so that our soaps can soothe sensitive skin, skin irritations, psoriasis, and eczema dermatitis.
